Vietnam Creative & Design Festival 2023 kicks off in Ho Chi Minh City

As part of the VFCD opening ceremony, four young local talents were awarded design prizes by representatives from the Australian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and RMIT University Vietnam.

The contest was a part of the VFCD 2021 here/there multicultural art and design project, which brought together Australian and Vietnamese artists.

RMIT University Vietnam initiated VFCD in 2019, and this year marks its fifth edition.

Throughout the one-week festival, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the vital role of design at the intersection of technology and humanity through various exhibitions, seminars, and talks.

Participants are also encouraged to join in the exploration and dialogue on how technology is revolutionizing the way humans approach design.

Under the theme “Mind & Machine,” VFCD 2023 will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 13 to 19, before moving to Hanoi from December 1 to 7.

Since its inception in 2019, VFCD has played an important role in fostering partnerships and showcasing projects within Vietnam’s cultural and creative industries.

VFCD 2023 is organized by RMIT University Vietnam in collaboration with UNESCO, the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts Studies (VICAS), and other creative industry partners. Hanoi Grapevine is serving as the media partner and organizational advisor.
